Maternity Photographer Libertyville IL| J&K

Summer photo sessions are such a blast, simply because there are endless options of where to shoot and the warm weather makes being outside so enjoyable! I was the maternity photographer for Kelli and John this past summer. And in the fall after their baby girl was due in October, I was their newborn photographer as well! I’ve mentioned in the past how special it is to follow a family as their photographer and having the ability to capture all of their special moments as they grow. During Kelli and John’s maternity session, I was able to capture how sweet of a couple they were, and in all of the pictures, you can see how much love they have not only for each other, but for their unborn little one! It was even more beautiful to be able to capture that love during their newborn session in the fall.

For this maternity session, we shot near and even in the water of this huge lake! We chose Waukegan Beach because it was close to home but different from the suburb feel. The fresh breeze coming off the coast shows up in all of the pictures, whether the flowers were blowing in the wind, or Kelli’s beautiful gown flew out behind her! Like so many of my other maternity clients, Kelli wore a gown from Design by C Boutique, most popularly known on Etsy! Kelli had two other outfit changes for this maternity session, this is normal for this type of session. As a maternity photographer, I strive to have these sessions be energizing, loving and liberating, and these gowns help show these beautiful traits!

Kelli is loud, outgoing, and a former swimmer. She worked out through her entire pregnancy and staying in great shape, which is super impressive! Kelli also loves to eat and travel with her husband, so there’s no doubt that their baby girl will have an adventurous childhood. One of Kelli’s favorite parts of the pregnancy was preparing everything for their unborn baby girl! The nursery has a green and pink theme with lots of koala bears and safari animals. They wanted to have a serene and cozy room, but also something bright and cheery!I know that Kelli and John are going to be great parents, and they certainly showed their loving, caring and protective nature in their newborn session, stay tuned!
