Kim, Tim and their son Patrick, and puppy dog Seamus are becoming some of my most frequent clients, and I’m super happy about it! It is really special when you are a family photographer consistent clients because you get to capture all of the changes and growth that are happening within the family! Whether it’s a newborn shoot that later is a cake smash session for a first birthday, staying with the client throughout time is an irreplaceable gift.
This family session took place in Barrington, IL. We didn’t have to travel far from Mundelein to feel like we were in a completely different world! Sunset sessions are my favorite for that reason! The beautiful gem tones from the sunset that splash over everything creates a fantastical feel. This session was the perfect opportunity to catch the family in between milestones.
As a childrens photographer, it can sometimes be hard to get a smile out of the kiddos; it always seems that as soon as the camera goes out, the smiles go into hiding! I had no trouble capturing all the smiles and giggles from baby Patrick. He is one happy baby and you can see that even though he can’t say it, he loves his parents so much! One of my all time favorite pictures from this session is the one where Tim is holding Patrick up into the sky and playing airplane with him. Patrick is smiling from ear to ear with his tiny little hands outstretched to mom and dad. It’s the perfect moment between parents and their little boy that shows how much they really cherish him.
