Engagement Photographer | Evanston Beach IL

I’m excited to share this engagement session with you! As an engagement photographer, you get super close to your clients because you get to learn all about their past, present and future as a couple! This is Alyssa and Mike’s story! They now live in Alsip, IL, a southern suburb. Alyssa and Mike met in high school through mutual friends and have been together for a little over 8 years! They still remember their first date together, the classic combination of dinner and a movie, and they have been inseparable since! Mike proposed to Alyssa on the Fourth of July at her uncle’s lake house before fireworks. All engagements are special, but what made Mike’s proposal unique was that he did it in front of Alyssa’s family. I think it’s awesome that the proposal is a shared memory for the whole family, not just between Mike and Alyssa!  As their engagement photographer, I wish I could have been there to capture that special moment too!

Mike and Alyssa are so in love, and as their engagement photographer, I was able to capture that emotion and passion through every shot. There isn’t a picture that I took where either of them weren’t beaming from ear to ear; they even had me smiling and laughing along with them from behind the camera! Their engagement session was at the beach in Evanston, IL. The beach setting was serene and romantic, a perfect combination. I simply have to mention how beautiful Alyssa’s ring is! I captured all of it’s sparkle in the picture with her hands wrapped around his neck; the glitzy diamond shows just how much Mike spoils his queen! Almost a year after their engagement, they’re getting married! The date is July 30th of this summer! I’m bummed that I can’t be their wedding photographer, since I’m expecting a little one this summer, but I’m really excited to have a close friend shoot their wedding instead. I can’t wait to see how all of the photos turn out!

I know that Mike and Alyssa are going to have a great future together. They already have a small family if you include their puppy, Vito, who is turning 2 soon! While getting to know Alyssa and Mike during their engagement session, I could tell that they can’t wait to start a family together. Mike thinks that Alyssa is going to be an amazing mom, and Alyssa believes that Mike will be a great father one day! One of my favorite parts of these sessions are when the couples describe what they love most about the other. Mike loves her pretty blue eyes and beautiful smile; he loves how she’s a great chef and already has her career set as a teacher. He loves how sweet, genuine and selfless Alyssa is. She loves that Mike makes her feel safe and secure all the time, even when they’re not right next to each other. She loves his hardworking and kind nature, and how he has a great sense of humor, and cares so much about his family and his friends. Most importantly they each love that they will always take care of one another, no matter what happens. I can’t wait to see what kind of fairytale wedding follows this fairytale love story!
